The family of a missing Sanger teen wants to know where he is.
It's been a week since 16 year old Sammy Mercado was last seen.
Thursday, two trucks were found...
They're believed to be connected to Sammy’s disappearance.
Investigators did not find Sammy Mercado in either truck.
They're checking to see if there's any evidence he was in the trucks...
There are signs Sammy was wounded at a marijuana garden where he and two friends had reportedly gone to steal the plants.
And his family is anxious he hasn't been found.
“Right now we're stuck in limbo. We're hanging on to that last string of hope he's still alive,” said Mercado family friend, Virgil Garza.
He says Sammy’s disappearance has been agonizing for his father and mother.
“She wants Sammy home. She wants her baby home. She wants to know why these people won't come forward,” Garza said.

They were confronted by two men. One of the men shot at Sammy.
Sammy's friends drove off and left him lying on the ground.
“The primary focus of the investigation is to locate Sammy Mercado and make sure that he's ok. The longer it goes I think the worse it is,” said Deputy Chris Curtice of the Fresno Sheriff’s Department.
“Until they give us some positive news, right now we're, like I said, we're stuck in limbo,” said Garza, friend of Sammy’s family.
