Fresno police are investigating overnight shootings at two different hotels in Fresno that left one dead and one in critical condition.
The first shooting happened at the San Joaquin Suites Hotel at Shaw and Fruit. A party was going on in one of the second story rooms and a man standing on the balcony was shot several times by someone on the ground below. The victim was taken to Community Regional Medical Center in critical condition.
The second shooting happened just minutes after the first at the Parkland Hotel at Shields and Highway 99. A man was shot in the parking lot of the hotel around 3:20 a.m. and died at the scene.
Anyone with information on either shooting is asked to contact the Fresno Police Department.
