A 3-year-old girl was struck by an SUV in a Clovis Walmart parking lot on Sunday.
The accident happened at the Walmart at Shaw and Villa around 4:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
Sgt. Jim Koch with the Clovis Police Department said, "There's nothing to make us believe the vehicle was traveling unsafely. The parking lot was very crowded at this time and there was a lot of people -- a lot of foot traffic and a lot of vehicle traffic in the parking lot when this occurred."
The driver was sited for not having a license.
The accident is being investigated but alcohol does not appear to have been a factor.
The child's condition is not known at this time.
