The U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals cleared the way today for gay marriages to resume in California.
It was originally thought it would take 25 days following the Supreme Court ruling, but Governor Jerry Brown ordered counties to begin issuing marriage licenses as soon as the appeals court cleared the way, which took place Friday afternoon.
