Cal Fire was training for its upcoming fire season to make sure their seasonal firefighters are up for what is going to be a brutal fire season.
A dry winter has sped up the fire season.
There has already been several wildfires throughout the state of California.
Fire crews are refreshing their skills, practicing for the worst case scenario.
"The lack of snow, the lack of rain, it's all causing an early fire season. All expectations are that it's not going to let up. It's going to be a very busy year for us," Mark Watkins of Cal Fire said.
Cal Fire crews won't just be working here in the valley. They also travel anywhere in the state of California where they are needed.
