Police say the driver of the car that ended up on the roof of a house was driving too fast, he hit rocks and a tree stump in the yard and the impact sent the car flying on the roof. The crash happened around 1:30 Wednesday morning.

"I got a phone call this morning that there's a car on top of your property, and I couldn't believe it. I had to actually go online to see it and still couldn't believe it thats why I'm over here checking it out," said Gary Brar, the property owner.

"I thought it was an earthquake, 'cause I heard a the house moving, I saw the house moving," said Jeanell Ricks who was inside, babysitting her nephew. Luckily, no one was seriously hurt. Had the car gone through the wall, instead of onto the roof, they could have been seriously injured because that's the room they were in.

"I thought the car was going to fall through the roof," said Ricks.

Police say the driver of the car is 25-year-old Benjamin Tucker, he tried to run away after the crash. He was found and arrested at his ex-girlfriends house who he'd stolen the car from, just down the street from the crash. He is facing charges for auto theft, hit and run, and running from police.

As incredible as it was for the car to go flying onto the roof, getting the car down was no small feat either. "Obviously most of the tow companies don't do this on a daily manner," said Lt. Anthony Martinez from the Fresno Police Department.

"Luckily everyone's ok, that's the most important thing. Properties can be replaced," said Brar.

Police say Tucker already had a warrant for his arrest, for assault with a deadly weapon and making terrorist threats.
