Many folks in a South East Fresno neighborhood woke up to a lot of Police early Thursday morning. Officers had guns drawn after a call came into police at 4:30 am that the wanted suspect was in the home. Children were also inside.

“One of the children is related to the suspect and she wanted time to say goodbye before she was arrested,” said Glen Schafer, Fresno Police.

After a three hour standoff, 24-year old Lisa Alarcon came out with her hands up. Police say over the weekend, Alarcon got into an argument with her parents at their home earlier in the night, then started shooting through a window while her parents were sleeping. CBS47’s Legal Analyst Carl Faller says she could be facing attempted murder charges but it's up to the prosecution on whether lesser charges will be filed.

“If she was just trying to scare them or otherwise instead of actually killing them, then that would support the assault with a deadly weapon charge,” said Faller.

Alarcon is currently booked at the Fresno County Jail; her parents are recovering from non life threatening injuries.
