A man is recovering from a gunshot wound he received while walking in Southeast Fresno Tuesday night.
The shooting happened around 8:15 p.m. on Chestnut Avenue near Kings Canyon.
The victim told police the shots appeared to come from a passing vehicle.
Lt. Tom Rowe with the Fresno Police Department said, “We are in the preliminary stages of the investigation. The victim did tell us he was returning to his home, walking on Chestnut Avenue by himself, when he heard shots fired and realized he’d been struck.”
The man was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay.
Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call the Fresno Police Department.
