A special milestone for the U.S. Armed Forces Wednesday.
A submarine turned 114.
And there was a ceremony at Fresno State to observe the day.
Members of the local Wahoo base chapter, of the U.S. submarine veterans of World War II, were part of the ceremony.
It took place near the University's Submarine Memorial located on the Maple Mall.
The group said, they want to pay tribute to the greatest generation.
In 2002, Fresno State was the first university in the nation to create a memorial honoring lost submarines and crew members.
