A popular Fresno boutique is moving to a historic downtown location.  The owner of Twee, a well-known store in the Tower District, just signed a lease Tuesday to rent space at Warnor's Theatre, located at Fulton Street and Tuolumne Street.

Owner, Melanie Davis, says she's always loved Warnor's feels the buzz about revitalizing downtown Fresno isn't just a pipe dream, it’s happening right now.  As she shows off Twee’s future home to some of her friends Wednesday afternoon, she already has a vision for how to make it her own.

From the Tower District, to the Fulton Mall, and now Warnor's Theatre, Davis feels like the timing is perfect.

“I just think that things are really going to turn around for downtown in the upcoming years,” said Davis.

Twee is an indie boutique that features mostly handmade, unique merchandise.  The store in the Tower District is well-known.

“It's hard to leave, but my heart's downtown,” said Davis.

Twee 2 is a small shop in the Fulton Mall.  It was an experiment that led her to committing to downtown Fresno.  Everything will now be moved to the store front at Warnor's.

“I'm just so excited.  It's beautiful; really high ceilings, great window frontage, and two other small businesses just moved in there,” said Davis.

Misc. just opened last week, selling exactly what it sounds like, a variety of art, clothes and more.  Soon the entire Tuolumne Street side of the theater will be filled with small businesses that want to be an integral part of revitalizing downtown Fresno.

“I know Melanie personally and I think we're going to do great down here.  She's as excited about being in this building as I am,” said Alvaro Romero, owner of Misc.

Davis hopes Twee will be moved in at Warnor’s by the April Art Hop, which is the first Thursday of the month.
