Three Fresno City Council Members have questions about how the high speed rail project will affect the local community and local businesses.
Council members Andreas Borgeas, Lee Brand and Clint Olivier held a press conference at Alert-O-Lite at O Street and Church in South Fresno Wednesday afternoon.
The chose the business location for the press conference because they say Alert-O-Lite is one of the businesses that could be directly impacted by the high speed rail line.
The three councilmen say the High Speed Rail Authority has been vague about its plans and how the project could impact the local economy and the community.
They are sending a letter to the Rail Authority with 26 questions they want answered, like how the rail will affect local businesses and the impact it will have on tax payers.
The High Speed Rail Authority will attempt to answer the 26 questions in the 60 days requested in the letter.
