Fresno Coin Gallery is hold their 3rd annual gold buying event to benefit Fresno County Schools.
Take your gold into either location in Fresno on Blackstone at Gettysburg or downtown on Tulare Street across from Club One.
Fresno County School Superintendent, Larry Powell and Former Fresno Mayor, Alan Autry are urging people to cash in their gold so Fresno Coin Gallery will donated 10% of the value to the Fresno Office of Education.
Superintendent Powell says the money will help with things like the arts, agricultural, academics and athletics or the area of greatest need.
Alan Autry said, "It's a big deal; you can really make a big contribution. Don't think what little gold you have can't make a big impact in education... It really can."
Last year's fundraiser raised over $100,000 for Fresno County schools. That money helped fund events like the Academic Decathlon and CIF Central Section Finals held this past weekend.
The gold buying event runs through March 17th.
