24-year-old Danielle Downing was arrested for homicide, 4 months after her newborn daughter was found in a trash can outside her home.
The Farmersville woman was interviewed back in October after the infant's body was discovered, but she was not arrested at that time.
Lt. Michale Marquez with the Farmersville Police Department said, "Investigators followed up and spoke to several people in and around the community who were familiar with Miss Downing and followed up on evidence that was made available to them base on the coroner's findings and physical evidence that was located at the scene."
Downing will be arraigned in the Tulare County Superior Court on Tuesday.
