The World Ag Expo was an opportunity for agricultural companies to show off new hi-tech products that may change the way those in the agriculture industry do business.

A committee selected the top 10 new products.

The GeoBlu Explorer is a new unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), also known as a drone, that provides eyes in the sky for farmers.

The 3 lb., 19-inch drone can record HD video and take high-resolution still photos. It has enough battery life to cover about 150 acres-- giving farmers a bird's eye view of their crops.

"Let's say we're over an orange grove and we spotted what we think could be suspect. So I can sit and loiter and hang out, I can look at it, I can get lower to it if I want to," says Jared Siegler with GeoBlu Services.

He says it will be a tool for farmers to better assess potential problems and solutions "to have more precision ag answers to plant stress and vegetation health and so forth."

It's just one of the award-winning products out of the more than 1,5000 exhibitors at the World Ag Expo.

Now in its 47th year, the farm show has grown exponentially.

"It's gotten bigger and a little more sophisticated. We try to tweak a little thing every year," says Mark Watte, who's volunteered at the world's largest farm show for several years.

Another product that's trying to improve the way people work in fields is the Bandit Express.

This alternative to a ladder tethers four workers to a moving platform for both safety and efficiency.

"It will pick three to five times more in an hour's period of time than people will do up in a ladder," says Steve Mason with Automated Ag Systems.

The list of technological innovations goes on, showing that the World Ag Expo is not your typical farm show.
