After having his classic car stolen, a fresno man dying of cancer is fighting to get the family heirloom returned.

On January 17th, someone entered the vacant building at the corner of Lansing Way and Fine Ave. in southeast Fresno. They punched a hold in the wall to get inside the shop next door then stole the 1952 Chevy Deluxe convertible parked inside.

The car is worth a small fortune, but owner, Ken Colombini, is more concerned about the sentimental value.

He spent three years re-building the car and planned to give it to his daughter when he passes away.

"You can leave money or something else, but something like this means a lot more," said Ken Colombini, a car theft victim.

"The sentimental value for us is priceless," said Eric Colombini, the victim's son.

The Colombini family is asking you to keep your eyes out for this very distinct car.

If you have any information on it's whereabouts, call Valley Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-STOP (7867).  The family is offering a sizable reward.
