A major road construction project in Fresno is getting closer to becoming a reality.
The braided ramps project is designed to make it easier for drivers to get access to Highway 41 from 168 without merging onto 180.
Many people consider this a traffic nightmare and right now that's a pretty strong argument.
Drivers have to slow down, and even stop, to let others off and on the freeway.
But that's all about to change. There are only a few more weeks left for construction.
One last major traffic pattern change will kicked off Friday night.
One lane of highway 180 west will reopen at noon Saturday.
The rest of the lanes will be closed until 5 pm.
The project should be done by the end of February.
