Dieticians advise you to set the oven temperature no lower than 325°.
Turkey must reach a safe minimum internal temperature of 165°.
"You are probably going to check right in between the leg and cavity of the body and also in the thickest part of the breast," said Mike Folino a registered dietician.
Once the meal is over, don't leave the food out for more than two hours. Make sure the leftovers are stored in the refrigerator. The shelf life is short, don't keep turkey for more than three to four days.
