A fall job and resource fair for veterans was this week, and there's more to come. The next big veterans job fair will be in February.
But, Thursday around 60 employers from across the Valley gathered under one roof to help local veterans begin a new chapter in life.
Veterans say one of the hardest things to do is living the civilian life. It's totally different from living a soldiers life. The transition is pretty hard.
The fairs are held four times a year and most veterans attending.
David Rose with veterans affairs said California has the largest veteran population of any state in the u-s.
Around 18% are unemployed, so help is desperately needed. David Rose of California Veterans Affairs said, "There not just looking for work. They're looking for quality work. Something that they can be proud of like they were proud when they were in the service."
The committee also provided valuable resources.
The clothing is mainly geared towards helping homeless veterans. But, they don't turn any veteran away.
"I'm feeling pretty confident. A lot of opportunities out there," said Anthony Diaz an Army veteran.
