More and more professional football players are admitting to dealing with memory loss and other brain disorders after they retire.
Retired NFL Quarterback Brett Favre told Today Show's Matt Lauer this week he is now experiencing similar symptoms. He also told Lauer he's not sure he would want his own son-- if he had one-- playing football.
It raising even more concern now for parents who's kids want to play football.
K.C. Trace, founder and president of the Clovis Clash Youth Football League joined Carina Corral on KSEE Midday to address those concerns.
He said while nationwide, signs up for youth football are down the valley is not seeing a decrease. Trace also said players are constantly shown and practice good, safe tackling techniques that avoid helmet-to-helmet contact.
