Ong Nim is Bouaphanh's son. According to public records she's 98-years-old, but family members say she's actually 102.
The Silver Lake Apartment Complex Thursday afternoon was quiet.  A much different scene from Wednesday night. Flashing lights from cop cars and yellow tape blocked of the home where Nim's mother was staying.

Nim said he came home from work Wednesday evening to find his mother home alone.  He said she didn't have a phone to call for help.
He took us to where she was sitting at the time of the break-in and believes she may have been targeted.
He said the two intruders may have seen her sitting in the room alone.  He said they then did the unthinkable.  They kicked her door in and held his mother by her hands as they searched her body for money.  He said they made off with around $2,000-$3,000.

The elderly woman's next door neighbor wasn't home at the time of the break-in, but said the fact that anyone would prey on the elderly is shocking.

"It's cowardly what they did to her. You know, I have a mother and if somebody did that it would make me furious," Cicso Segovia.

Even though Nim's mother wasn't physically harmed, he said it's time to move.
Fresno Police are still searching for the two suspects.
If you have any information, you're urged to call Crimestoppers at 498-STOP.
