Locals React To Royal Baby

As a future king was announced across the pond, many locals were as glued as they were to the royal wedding.

It's like the royal baby-to have something like a monarchy and something so respectable,” said Lyudmila Mironyuk as she sat with her son at Riverpark.

The royal baby was born into celebrity, with thousands from all over the world descending on London….from the moment Duchess Kate and Prince William walked in the hospital doors.

“He ended up using the same back door that Diana used when she gave birth to him,” said Paddy Myers.

Paddy Myers is from Britain...so devoted to his birthplace that his Fresno home is London-themed.

He says the royals are setting an impressive example. 

“A lot of the royals in the past haven't been that engaged. And I think the queen has a lot to do with that. The queen has a lot to do with that...saying hey the people aren't happy with royals just sitting on their rearrends.

New Fresno moms also shared that special excitement.  

“She had actually gone into labor the same time that we had,” said Mia Bowers.

Mia Bowers and her husband considered naming their Prince George or James...

Those are the top two names rumored for the royal baby. 

“I actually really liked James but he didn't,” said Mom.

“And George was grandfather's name...another on the list,” said Dad.
