Police in Visalia are investigating a double homicide in the 3700 block of W. Damsen.  Someone called 9-1-1 at 10:30 Friday morning saying two people were dead.  Police say it was not a random act of violence; the victims were targeted for some reason.

Two dogs were taken from a home where two people were found dead on Friday morning.  Police aren't revealing much about the victims, but Tanya Garcia says she used to be a caretaker for the female victim, who was bedridden.

"I wouldn't be surprised if she passed away because she's very ill so that's why I came to see.  But my daughter said she read online that it was a homicide, so yeah it does shock me," said Garcia.

Garcia says the woman lived with a man for a long time and that he'd been in and out of jail.  Visalia police say the person who called 9-1-1 to report the crime has been questioned.

"That's our pivotal person right now," said Sgt. Ozzie Dominguez.

Neighbors say police went up and down the street, asking if they heard anything.

"Shots fired or vehicles speeding away or whatever.  There was nothing out of the ordinary," said Leon West who has lived on Damsen for nearly a decade.

The names of the victims are being withheld until family has been notified.  If you have any information about the crime, call 713-4740.
