Family gathered to pray and remember 32-year-old mom Diana and her young daughter Jocylyn Jauregui.

“We were just having a great ol’ time; we were talking...then she said, we're going to leave...we'll be back tomorrow and tomorrow never came,” said Jesus Jauregui, the victim’s brother.

Jesus Jauregui spent Saturday swimming and barbequing with his sister and niece.

They headed back to Reedley that evening when this Ford F150 smashed into their Ford Focus.

The pickup then crashed into an orchard, and the driver got away.

Jocylyn would've turned six-years old Wednesday.

“At my house we were actually talking about her birthday. She wanted to go to chuck-e-cheese.  Yesterday we went to where the accident happened and I found a chuck-e-cheese token,” said Jesus Jauregui.

3-year-old sister Jackelyn sat in the back of the car.

Her dad has been in and out of the hospital while she recovers from head injuries and a broken leg.

The children's grandfather Arturo Flores also made it out alive, and showed us bruises covering his arms, legs, and back.

His son translated:

“He feels very devastated. Um, it was two lost at once. His daughter and his niece.”

Investigators are looking for Miguel Martinez.

They say he's the registered owner of the pickup.

“Right now he's just a person of interest. We want to question Mr. Martinez,” said CHP Sgt. Patrick Etchebar.

Loved ones ask for closure...as they plan two funerals.

“We just want him to turn himself in and justice be served,” said Jared Adams, the victim’s brother in law.

If you have any information, call CHP or Crimestoppers at 498-Stop.
