CBS47 and the Central California Red Cross teamed up to help with the Oklahoma tornado relief efforts Thursday night.
Over $16,500 was raised during the telethon but the Red Cross still needs your help, so please continue to support their efforts.
Fresno's Emergency Services Manager, Beth Brown, is a Red Cross board member and once lived in the Midwest, so she and knows the dangers of tornadoes. "What happened in Moore, Oklahoma, was unusual. The tornado was on the ground for so long and a tornado is never on the ground for 40 minutes and so the disaster that's ended up there is almost hard to believe," said Beth.
You can donate $10 by texting "REDCROSS" to 90999.
