A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Thursday morning for the new horse arena at the Central California SPCA to help care for abused and neglected horses.
The new arena was made possible by the generous donation of the Ted Martin family, through the Fresno Regional Foundation.
The arena is home to 30 horses right now. The SPCA is caring for the horses, many of which were found starving.
Beth Caffrey with the Central California SPCA says some of the horses are pregnant so there will be more soon but now they are able to socialize with the other horses and have room to exercise.
