A man is facing multiple charges after he leading police on a high-speed chase through Fresno.
The suspect refused to pull over for a traffic stop and the chase finally ended near First and Clinton when both the driver and his female passenger jumped from the still moving car, which then ran over the woman.
Lt. Joe Gomez said, "He's 46 years of age. He's on parole for drugs. He's got a felony warrant for drugs, so he'll be arrested for those charges -- parole violation also, he's a parolee and he's got an assault rifle in the car and also a handgun, and they're both loaded, and lots of ammunition in a bag in there. So he'll be arrested on those gun charges too."
The suspect's name has not yet been released.
The woman who was run over by the vehicle was not arrested.
