A family accused of helping their son escape to Mexico says they're not guilty.
Kyle and Gail Scarber and their daughter Crystal Reynoso face charges of conspiracy.
Investigators believe the family helped Spencer Scarber flee to Mexico during his rape trial. He was later convicted while still on the run.
Spenser Scarber was later captured and brought back to Fresno.
On Wednesday, attorneys for the Scarber family say there is new information on the case. "We had an interesting revelation today, we are told that there are no photographs of specific people in cars crossing the border," said defense attorney Marshall Hodgkins.
Spencer's father, Kyle Scarber, is an assistant chief with the California Highway Patrol and is currently on leave from the department.
Spencer Scarber is still awaiting sentencing.
