A pat on the back was a big reward for the little informant Fresno Police say helped them catch the discovery center burglar.
"Me and my little brother looked at the camera and said we know who that is," said 7-year-old Leah Charriez.
Charriez recognized 21-year-old Devin Michael Madej in surveillance video seen here. Madej was arrested Friday at the home of a relative and now faces burglary and stolen property charges.
At the home police found the missing red tailed boa in a box and not far away they tracked down one of the missing pythons that had been left at a school. Although that still leaves one snake missing, Discovery Center Director Mary Ellen Wright is breathing a sigh of relief.
"It rips your heart out, you know they aren't going to take care of them right. They had no business taking them in the first place and to get them back and they are unhurt is more than I could have asked for," said Wright.
