A Fresno County Sheriff's Deputy is at the hospital.
A suspect crashed into her patrol car during a high speed chase.

The pursuit began at Jensen and Golden State in Fresno...and came to an end in Tulare County.

CBS 47’s Lemor Abrams is live on the scene.

The Fresno County Deputy's patrol car...tea boned by this truck…seeding out of an orchard.

“The deputy was able to get out of the vehicle through passenger door and secure the suspect,” said CHP Officer Derek Jackson.

The injured deputy called for help.

The suspect broke his leg.

Officers say they found drugs and ammunition inside his truck...

They also say he tossed a gun out the window during the chase.

“We do deal with it especially with the AB109 and different things like that...has increased challenges and we're here to meet them head on,” said Jackson.

The truck was first spotted in Tulare County where it came up stolen. Then it ended up in Fresno.

Fresno County Sheriff’s Deputies and a CHP officer followed him on Highway 99 and chased him back into Tulare County.

That’s where he crashed.
