An arrest tonight in a series of armed robberies in Fresno where the thief targeted women who were working alone.
32-year-old Willie Murphy, a sex offender on probation, was identified as the suspect in six armed robberies.
He targeted women who were working alone posing as a customer, but when it came time to pay he pointed to a gun in his waistband.
Murphy was arrested today at a home on East Hamilton.
He reportedly confessed to the robberies and said he targeted women because he felt they were passive.
He told invsetigators he used a bb gun or airsoft gun to committ the crimes.
He's being held on more than $200,000 dollars bail.
