A man from Reedley is getting a shot at having his very own commercial air during the Super Bowl.
Doritos is holding the contest again that allows people to create a 30 second commercial that is voted on by the public.
The top two winning entries are aired during the Super Bowl and then all the commercials aired during the game are voted on and the winner gets a million bucks!
CBS47's Claudia Rodarte spoke with Reedley native, Gabe Trevino says he'll be sitting on pins and needles because he won't find out until game day if his commercial made it. "I'm very grateful, you know that I'm able to make 100-million people laugh," said Trevino.
This could be the third video Trevino has helped make it to air during the big championship. You might recognize other Doritos commercials like "Casket" and "Sling Shot Baby", which was a finalist last year.
This year, with "Fashionista Daddy," Trevino played a larger role and helped write and produce the piece.
Trevino now lives in Los Angeles, but he grew up in Reedley and graduated from Fresno State in 2000.
Trevino's commercial is in the top 5 in the Doritos contest but only the top 2 will be aired during the Super Bowl, but it's a surprise which two will air. "You have no idea that yours is gonna air until your watching the Super Bowl, so if you see two Doritos commercials air and they're not yours, then you know yours didn't make it," said Trevino.
