A third suspect is in custody for the triple shooting that happened Wednesday night in Madera. 18-year-old Alejandro Vasquez was killed. Two others were injured.
Around 4pm Thursday, officers arrested a third suspect. They also took his car, which is believed to be the one used in the triple shooting. Police have not released his name because he's under 18 years old. The two suspects arrested Wednesday night also haven't been named because they haven't been charged with the shooting. They are believed to be members of a gang.
"We're still continuing to look for the shooters. We're not sure the three that we have in custody are the shooters but we're not ruling them out at this point. But we're close to getting the remaining people that were in the vehicle involved in the shooting," said Chief Steve Frazier.
Meanwhile, a retaliation shooting also happened at about 4pm Thursday near Pioneer Technical School. Police say suspects are believed to have fired rounds from a car. They do not believe anything or anyone was hit. Four suspects were taken into custody at a gas station near Freeway 99 and Avenue 12.
