Excitement is building ahead of the final scheduled home football game for the Fresno State Bulldogs.

"It's been one of those magical years. We've had magical games, we've had magical plays in some of those magical games. To get the wins we've had overtime. We've had just about everything, and we haven't lost at home," said Paul Ladwig, senior associate athletic director at Fresno State.

Their undefeated trend is one they hope to continue. The Bulldogs have the fan base to back them up.

"It's really to fun to basically brag about our school and be like, "Oh yeah, Fresno State football is better than all your other schools,'" said Fresno State junior Kimberleigh McDermott.

The Bulldog pride shows in the numbers.

Sales of official Fresno State merchandise are up by 41 percent across the Central Valley compared to last year, Ladwig said.

"I think it's great for the community. I think it's great for our team. I think it's great for what they represent. They're a great team to follow. It's a great school. I love my school. I love watching the band come in. That's one of my favorite things," said Randall Griggs, who graduated from Fresno State.

The final scheduled home game is also the third game to sellout this season. Locals are hoping to see their 'dogs through to the end.

"It's been a good year for them, and I hope they make it to the championship. That would be awesome. I'm very proud of them. They've done a really good job," said Tonia Rodriguez, who will be going to Saturday's game.

Senior football players will also be honored on the field at Saturday's game.

If the Bulldogs beat the New Mexico Lobos, the Bulldogs may play again in Fresno for the Mountain West Conference championship game December 7.

**PRESS RELEASE - FRESNO STATE**

The excitement surrounding the 15th-ranked Fresno State football team has produced the Bulldogs' third sell out of the 2013 season as Saturday's Mountain West contest between the 'Dogs and New Mexico Lobos is officially sold out.

This marks the first time that three Fresno State football home games have been sold out during a season since 2005. The previous two sell outs this season were for the Bulldogs' 41-40 win over Boise State on Sept. 20 and the 41-23 victory over Nevada on Nov. 2.

"A tremendous `Thank You!' to our fans, alumni and Fresno State students who have helped make this 2013 football season so special," said Paul Ladwig, Fresno State Senior Associate Athletics Director. "Selling out the last game of the season and the third overall will make tomorrow's Senior Day one to remember for 18 players who will walk down the ramp in Bulldog Stadium for the final time in the regular season."

Saturday afternoon's contest between No. 15 Fresno State (9-0, 6-0 MW) and New Mexico (3-7, 1-5 MW) will be broadcast live nationally on ESPNews and all fans are encouraged to wear red. Official gear for gameday is available at The Bulldog Shop - located at the northwest corner of Cedar and Barstow avenues.

The Bulldogs are one of six teams in the football bowl subdivision that remain unbeaten and Fresno State looks to extend several winning streaks on Saturday. The 'Dogs have won 14-straight regular-season games, 11-straight games at home and 11-straight games in Mountain West play.

The 'Dogs will also be going for their 10th win of the season, which would be the program's eighth 10-plus win season and the first since Fresno State went 11-3 in 2001.

On Saturday, tailgate lots will open at 9 a.m. and the Fresno State's March to Victory will start at 10 a.m. at Bulldog Boulevard. Gates to Bulldog Stadium will open at 11:30 a.m. and the special Senior Day ceremony will start at 12:45 p.m. The Bulldogs and Lobos will kick off at 1 p.m.

A fall job and resource fair for veterans was this week, and there's more to come. The next big veterans job fair will be in February.

But, Thursday around 60 employers from across the Valley gathered under one roof to help local veterans begin a new chapter in life.

Veterans say one of the hardest things to do is living the civilian life. It's totally different from living a soldiers life. The transition is pretty hard.

The fairs are held four times a year and most veterans attending.

David Rose with veterans affairs said California has the largest veteran population of any state in the u-s.

Around 18% are unemployed, so help is desperately needed. David Rose of California Veterans Affairs said, "There not just looking for work. They're looking for quality work. Something that they can be proud of like they were proud when they were in the service."

The committee also provided valuable resources.

The clothing is mainly geared towards helping homeless veterans. But, they don't turn any veteran away.

"I'm feeling pretty confident. A lot of opportunities out there," said Anthony Diaz an Army veteran.

Bikes with motors are part of a growing trend in Fresno. They look like any bike but instead of pushing pedals riders have a purring gasoline motor beneath their seat. It can take them down city streets at speeds of up to 30 miles per hour.

"This bike get me to work, saves me gas and lots of money," said, See Savang Thao.

"The potential is there for some serious injury if we don't get out in front of it and make people aware you still need to follow the rules of the road when you are operating this vehicle," said, Bruce Owen, with the Fresno Police Department. "One thing that people don't always realize is that these bikes are actually motor vehicles, and if you don't have a license and a helmet you are breaking the law."

Fresno police have found many bikes are operated illegally. En fact they've become a favorite of riders whose record caused them to lose their license.

According to the California Department of Motor Vehicles, drivers of a motorized bicycle must be at least 16 years old ave an M1 or M2 license, wear a bicycle helmet and travel only on the road.

The price of these bikes varies but most are under $500.

Visalia Police and the F.B.I. are working together to try and figure out how 14-year old Dameian Gulley died.

Meanwhile, Gulley’s friends have already begun to mourn his loss.  They’ve setup a makeshift memorial on the grounds of Valley Oak Middle School.

“I just want people to remember him,” said Tori Stewart, a friend of Dameian Gulley.

Hope turned into anguish Friday evening after news came out that 14-year old Dameian Gulley had been found dead.

Some of his classmates wrote messages on butcher paper as a way to express their love and sorrow.  They hung Dameian’s picture on a wall of the school and lit candles to pay their respects.

Tori Stewart grew up with Damien.

“He always wanted to comfort people and make them feel better.  When we were on trips he would let others play his games even he had to sit by himself for a couple of hours, he would just let them,” said Stewart.

We stopped by Damien’s house, but understandably so, family members did not want to speak on camera.

It was from his home on Monday police say the 8th grader set out on his walk to school around 6:30 a.m.  However, he never reached the Valley Oak campus.

Reporter:  “Is that normal for him?  Does he walk from home to school everyday?

“Yeah,” said Stewart.

Concerns grew deeper as the days went on because Dameian was autistic and needed of his medication.  Police say it’s too early to tell if foul play is involved.  Investigators are not discussing where his body was found either, just that it was a rural area outside of Visalia.

However, an email from Valley Oak’s principal stated that the teen was discovered somewhere in the Sequoia National Forest.

Normally, grief counselors would be brought to campus Monday to help students through this tough time.  However, it is Thanksgiving break next week so there is no school.

Friends and family are planning to gather for a candlelight vigil on Saturday, Nov. 23rd.  It will take place at Valley Oak Middle School from 6 pm to 8pm.

Each week we honor a teacher in the valley who's making a difference. This week we visit Daily Charter School in Fresno.

Another day and another chance to learn here in Linda Garduno's classroom at Daily Charter School.

"We don't have limitations and so we have the freedom to have inquiry based teaching time to explore time to write," says Garduno.

Garduno has been teaching for 10 years now and says the best way to connect with students is to remember just how capable they are.

"They're people, have hearts and minds and are people, we're careful about their age, but yet we like to stretch them and that's exciting part about teaching at daily."

Mrs. Garduno says while her students are each very unique they all have one thing in common; their passion and desire to learn.

"They're so excited about whats gonna happen tomorrow like they don't want to miss school, we let them figure it out what we're studying," she says.

When it comes to their teacher, Mrs. Garduno's kids are quick to list off the things that make her special.

Says one student, "she teaches us very well doesn't even seem like we're learning, even though we're learning so much."

"She helps us prepare for the real world when we get older, she inspires me."

Do suds and cinema mix?

Galaxy Movie Theaters in Tulare could soon be serving alcohol. The movie theater chain already sells alcohol at five of its other locations, the closest being in Atascadero.

Galaxy's policy on alcohol sales states that alcohol sales would be done at a separate concession than popcorn and soda. Also you would only be able to buy a drink for yourself.

If you'd like to express your opinion on whether alcohol should be served at the Galaxy Movie Theater in Tulare, a public hearing will be held Monday at 7:00 p.m. at the Tulare City Council chambers.
