Many people haven't even bought their Thanksgiving turkey yet, but for some, Santa Claus is already coming to town.
A home in Pinedale has already decorated their home for Christmas and are turning the lights on to give their neighborhood some holiday cheer.
CBS47's Mike Scott took a picture of the home and posted on the CBS47 Facebook page and lots of viewers weighed in with over 150 "likes" and dozens of comments, mostly in favor of the idea.
Homeowner Robert Durran said, "It's for the people and the kids."
Durran has been decorating his house for the last four years, and each year, the Christmas calendar keeps getting moved up. "It's never too soon for anything. The sooner the better," said Durran.
But it's not just Pinedale getting an early start on the holiday season. Santa has landed at Fashion Fair Mall and is taking pictures already.
Shopper Danny Clemmensen said, "Next year Black Friday will be right after Halloween."
The Clemmensen's were shopping and couldn't believe they stumbled upon jolly old Saint Nick. "I was kinda shocked that it's so early and Santa is here and it's not even Thanksgiving yet," said Kathy Clemmensen.
You're already hearing Christmas music at many stores and holilday commercials pushing for that perfect gift.
For the Durran family, decking the halls early has become a family tradition. "Merry christmas, and we'll do it again early every year," said Robert.
Durran says he has more decorations on the way and hopes more people will drive by and get into the holiday spirit because of them.
