The Hubbard Baro Golf tournament had a good turnout. About 144 players participated.

From a 21 gun salute,

to taking a swing at some golf balls;
it was a way to honor the service and sacrifice of fallen soldiers.

 "See all these people supporting this event is touching," Teresa Baro said.

It was an emotional moment for Baro, a mother who lost her son in the line of duty.

"The boys are just looking down on us with huge smiles and enjoying every moment of it," Baro said.

Beth Morelock and her group of friends started the Hubbard Baro Golf Tournament in 2004 for the one year death anniversary of Jeramiah Baro and Jared Hubbard.

"The number one thing we want people to know is that we will never forget what they've done for our country," said Morelock said.

She never expected a round of golf would become something more.

"It kind of took a life on its own and know a lot of people know about the Hubbard Baro Golf Tournament," Beth Morelock said.

It has since expanded significantly to become one of the largest golf tournaments in the central valley...already $130,000  have been donated to the VA Hospital.
