Hundreds of chickens were running loose on a local road Monday morning following an accident.
A big rig carrying the chickens overturned early Monday morning along Academy Avenue, at some railway tracks in the Sanger area.
The load may have shifted when the driver tried to make a turn.
It took a couple of hours to round up all the loose birds.
PG&E crews also responded to the scene because of a downed power pole caused by the accident.
