A man and his dog were struck by a car when the dog darted into traffic and the man tried to save it.
The accident happened Tuesday evening at Shaw and Fresno in Fresno.
The man was taken to the hospital but his condition was not known at the time of this report.
The dog was treated by firefighters at the scene and is recovering at the Central California SPCA.
