One person was killed and several others were injured in an early morning crash west of the Lemoore Naval Air Station.

The accident happened around 5:00 a.m. Monday morning along Highway 269 at Oakland Avenue, north of Huron.

A Chevy Cavalier with two people inside and a Honda Accord carrying four people crashed head-on. A Ford F-150 pickup plowed into the wreckage, causing the debris to spread even more.

When the California Highway Patrol arrived, they say the roadway was completely blocked.

One person riding in the Honda may have been ejected and died at the scene and several other victims were pinned in their vehicles.

The fatal crash is still under investigation to determine the cause.

Later Monday morning, there was another head-on crash in the City of Fresno.

The crash happened near Shields and Blythe and was apparently caused when a driver had a seizure, lost control and crashed into an oncoming car.

William Buttler with the California Highway Patrol said, "Got to remind people that if your doctor suspended your privilege to drive and the state's suspended your privilege to drive for medical conditions, you've got to stay off the roadways. This could have been completely avoided."

The driver who triggered the accident was taken to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment of his seizures.

Two people in the other car were also injured.
