"We're standing here in solidarity for people with civil rights," said Chris Breelove, a pastor supporting equal rights.
Gay rights supporters are mad about Chick-Fil-A President Dan Cathy's controversial comments opposing same sex marriage, and his company's charitable giving.
"He can believe what he wants to believe. My problem is the money that's being funneled into the anti-gay hate groups," said Ashley Gomez.
Gomez stood firm next to Sarah Sharpe, a mother who clarifies she's happily married to a man. She says she brought her children to teach them a big picture lesson about life…from her perspective.
"I want them to learn that they should stand up for what is right...for their neighbors and friends," Sharpe said.
We could barely finish our interview with the screams intensifying, as the line at Chick-Fil-A grew longer, eventually snaking out the door.
"I don't by any means agree with them which is why we're here to support what Chick- Fil-A stands for but it's the right to do it and that's what this country's all about," said Larry Crews.
He's been married for 30 years to his wife and is in support of the traditional marriage crowd that came out in force Wednesday for Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day.
But gay rights supporters weren’t bothered by the fact that the protests triggered more business than usual at the chicken chain.
"In the long term we're going to see that not only gay individuals but people for fairness will go somewhere else with their purposes," said Jason Scott of the Fresno Gay Community Group.
