A Valley grocery chain made a big donation to help feed hungry families in the Valley.
Food 4 Less donated $40,000 worth of groceries to five different food banks up and down the Valley, which is 80,000 pounds of food.
Community Food Bank CEO Andy Souza said, "To put that into perspective, that is well over two semi trucks. We'll be taking two semi truckloads out of here and plus some overflow in our other trucks. That 80,000 pounds of food turns into about 65,000 meals."
The donation is thanks to proceeds from an annual golf tournament the grocery chain sponsors.
Food 4 Less has several locations in the Valley from Atwater to Visalia.
