A Fresno man is facing multiple charges after officers say he was caught covering his tracks following a burglary.
A worker at the Department of Pesticide and Regulation Office apparently spotted the suspect Wednesday night.
The suspect was attempting to disable the surveillance system using bolt cutters and held the employee at gunpoint until he was done.
California Highway Patrol officers later found the suspect in a stolen pesticide agency truck.
Sgt. Lenny Sherman with the Highway Patrol said, He violently resisted arrest and fought with officers. It took numerous officers, including two citizens who were acting as good Samaritans, jumped in to help officers force him into handcuffs because he was a big guy and wasn't going down without a fight."
Officers found stolen goods inside the truck along with a gun, which turned out to be an air soft pistol.
