25 year old William Hill is a parolee and police around here know him to be a potentially dangerous character.

That's why when an officer saw him with what appeared to be stolen property early this morning; the situation was taken very seriously.

Hill went into the home of someone he knows and refused to come out. He was up in the attic of a duplex there were people home, but rather quickly officers got them out, meanwhile hill stayed put.

At one point there were guns drawn and plenty of Swat Officers out here. The team went inside and did come out with Hill; he's in the white tee shirt.

The Corcoran Police Chief is glad for the peaceful outcome and that everyone got out safely.

Rueben Shortnacy Corcoran Police Chief, “There was a female and two children, small children, when officers initially went into the house they were able to evacuate the house so there was no one inside except for the suspect.”

Officers are now writing warrants and will search the home for possible weapons and other stolen items.

Corcoran police say this type of incident is quite rare in this town; they call the Swat Team maybe once or twice a year.
