There was a deadly shooting involving officers in Tulare Thursday night.

Tulare police say the Porterville Police Department called to report a suspect involved in a kidnapping.
Tulare police caught up with the suspect about an hour later. Police say the suspect was armed and they were forced to shoot him for their own safety.
The Tulare County Sheriff's Department is now investigating the shooting.
