We have an update on a story CBS47 first told you about last month.

Two wounded veterans from Hanford left California on April 1st, riding on Segways.

Two months later, Justin Bond and Jason Day arrived in Jacksonville, Florida.

The pair made the cross country trip on Segways to raise awareness and money to fight the alarming suicide rates of our returning veterans from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

We did a story about them making a brief stop in Fresno at the V.A. Hospital and later caught up with them on the road in Bakersfield.

Their goal was to cover about 60 miles a day and raise money for wounded vets. In their eight state journey, they traveled almost 3,000 miles in 60 days.

They arrived in Jacksonville in grand fashion, riding their Segways onto the beach with the American flag. Along the way, they met with other wounded vets and encouraged them to stay active.

You can learn more about their fund raising efforts done through Our Heroes Dreams by clicking on the related link. You can also watch the story about their journey by clicking the Special Report link.
