They're asking for more time from the Central California SPCA.
The group cancelled its contracts after criticism from local officials and other animal-care groups. Its services are supposed to end in September.
Beth Caffrey said, “We just heard about what the vote was this morning we haven't been asked to be on the task force. We don't have any members on the task force for what they're going to be doing, so better communication would be really important.”
Aside from the extension request, the SPCA says they still haven't heard about their payment for keeping their services through September. Let alone through the end of the year.
