Teenage Shooting Victim Laid to Rest

A heart broken father shared his first memory of his son the day he was born.  “The nurse looked over at me and said either you're going to deliver your son or I am.  And I brought Brandon into this world, and today I carried him out,” said Kenny Moore.

Wednesday 16 year old Brandon Moore was laid to rest.  Loved ones focused on remembering the good days, shared with friends and relatives.

“He was a happy kid, happy.  Always smiling, very respectful,” said Joel Canales, a friend. 

Macy Davis remembers going to her first high school dance with Brandon.  “I remember he was so excited. He didn't even want to ask me.  I had to tell him, yeah I’ll go with you. He just sat there the whole time, but it's one of my really good memories,” said Davis tearfully.

A disagreement between teenagers had to turn into a shooting that took the lives of both Brandon Moore and 18 year old Justin Hesketh.  Brothers Jarrad and Jerry Beard are accused of the December 20th shooting in Northwest Fresno  

“I don't know why they would do something like that to him. He was really a good person,” said Fernando Gutierrez, a friend.

Most of all, his father wonders what could have been.  “I mean at 16, he didn't even know what he wanted to do with his life and I thought he would have a world of time to figure that out,” said Moore.
