Fresno and Clovis firefighters were out on the streets Thursday, raising money for a good cause.
They were at three local intersections, Blackstone & Shaw, Blackstone & Nees, and Clovis & Shaw asking people to 'Fill the Boot' with donations for muscular dystrophy.
A lot of young people with the disease will get to go to summer camp, thanks to the cash raised by the firefighters.
MDA Executive Director Carrie Danny said, "Every year we do a camp that is 100% wheelchair accessible, even the pool has a ramp in it, so you can go into the swimming pool in your wheelchair and you can do things we never thought were possible."
Local firefighters have been sponsors of the muscular dystrophy association - since 1954.
