The cafeteria of Rowell Elementary in Fresno was filled with excitement and smiling faces. As students just like 9-year-old Abrina were sized and handed a free pair of shoes.
Famous Footwear is celebrating its grand opening at the Marketplace at El Paseo by teaming up with Skechers to hand out around 800 new shoes.
Abrina's mom volunteers at the school and knows there's a real need. The kind gesture left the students stunned, but thankful.
Since 2011, Skechers has donated more than 7-million pairs of shoes to kids in underprivileged areas around the world and right here in the United States.
