Mother nature was generous Monday as she let out the latest Spring storm in the valley.
Lemor Abrams has the story.
First came the heavy wind, then the rain...
"I love the rain i just came back this afternoon from portland oregon, so its rainbuckets over there," said Fran Donnelly.
Rain so hard, even someone from Portland was impressed...
Or anyone who gets that...the valley needs it.
"It's actually fresh I guess... A good day for something that we haven't been having," said Vanessa Valdez.
And as the gray skies darkened, people poured into the local favorite, "Dusty Buns," for something steamy.
"Absolutely...yah...you got to keep the belly warm you know," said a guest.
Dustin Stewart whips it all up.
"We send a couple prayers up and we get a couple raindrops," said Stewart.
The latest Spring storm is a relief, but Stewart still has to implement some changes due to the drought... like using seasonal, locally grown crops.
"If we focus on smaller crops planted seasonal, we're doing something better for planet. We don't need to support year round crop that use so much water," said Stewart.
For now his loyal foodies are loving it...and what the wet weather brings along the way.
"Truthfully, I'm more of 'smell the flowers' kind of person so that's what i've been doing," said another guest.
