Crime scene investigators have their work cut out for them, after a young
lady stumbled upon a horrific find.

She discovered human skeletal remains, in a clearing known as 'Witches
Grove,' between trees on her family's farm near Fowler.

"It looks there in an open area that is sometimes covered by water," said
Deputy Chris Curtis.

Curtis says the water level may have gone down, exposing the bones which

investigators believe have been there for a year now.

"Oh! Are you serious? Oh no, I didn't know that."

Jolene Miyasaki owns farmland across the street.

"We don't know if it was a buried body and is there a buried body in our
property? So that's a concern."

She's not alone.

Gary Chavez feels for whoever the person leaves behind.

"Living in the community, it's a real concern and just hope that authorities
will be able to find who it is you know. May be somebody's family that they're
looking for or they're missing who knows," said Chavez.

It's still unclear how the body ended up in this orange grove.

Miyasaki worries there's little that can be done to keep crime out.

"You really can't on a ranch. You can't fence these ranches in. You have to
be able to get the tractors up and down the rows, so there's really nothing we
can do except be alert."

Folks in the agricultural community wonder what else could be hidden right
before their eyes.
